Loud
The sound of your voice
Have you heard it enough?
Because it’s not their first choice
To hear again all your stuff.
Why are you speaking?
Why must you spew
Like a wheel that’s squeaking
Or a wobbly church pew
It’s awkward, annoying
You must learn to desist
But on retelling your old stories
You must always insist
For whom do you chatter?
Whose audience do you seek?
To whom do these matter
All these points that you speak?
The sound of your voice!
Have you spoken your piece?
You make so much noise
Do you know how to cease?
Is it even a piece? or do you believe it’s the whole
This language procession that’s out of control.
Two ears and one mouth
This ratio’s profound
Except when your voice is your own favorite sound.
This isn’t to say never speak, not at all
But chose when and how
(I know that order is quite tall)
You can’t take them back
The words nor the time
That you wasted in speaking
(Even if they rhyme…)
