Yahweh
When your child’s cry first hits your ears
When parents pass away
When new crops are seeded every year
When the harvest’s underway
When life is slain and sacrificed
When it’s returned, restored and healed
When dismantling the edifice
When brick and mortar cracks are sealed
When weeping is in season
When tears of laughter flow
When mourning has good reason
When dancing’s pure and not for show
When valuables are scattered and tossed
When treasure’s gathered from what was lost
When the long embrace is welcome and warm
When greetings are stoic, and proper in form
When the search is all there seems to be
When giving up means being free
When keeping, holding fast and tight
When throwing out the waste
When things are torn, from left to right
When mending’s done with grace, not haste
When silence speaks a thousand words
When speaking leaves them silent
When love is felt and, seen and heard
When hate manifests in violence
When war demands the best and worst of what’s hidden in a man
When peace comes from a woman’s touch, a gentle loving hand
When it happens, when it comes,
when you end up where you are;
Questions of: what, where, why, and how are never off to far…
How and why take action?
Where to go, and what to do?
I submit to you that the answer’s found in none other than the ‘who’
